Saturday, 28 May – 2-4pm – Community Litter Pick

We’ve been asking around and it seems the roads around St Francis Church/Queen’s Road and the Tintagel Play/grass areas could do with a special Womble treatment – so we thought we could meet in the car park outside @67 on Queen’s Road from 2pm on Saturday, 28 May.  Do bring your own equipment if you have it, or we will have plenty for you to borrow.

We hope to finish with tea and cake (we’ve not quite organised that bit yet, but I can promise cake!) – so please bring friends and family and come and help if you can.  Hope to see you there!

Saturday and Sunday 2/3 July – Keynsham Music Festival

We have been invited back again to litter pick Keynsham Music Festival (that is of course the trouble with doing a good job!!). This year we have been asked to provide two people at a time on the Saturday and six at a time on the Sunday (all on a rotational basis), plus a final clear up on the Monday morning.

This annual event has become hugely important for us in terms of raising our profile within Keynsham, plus we receive a donation for our work which helps to buy the equipment we use during the year and gives us some financial flexibility to expand our work further, for instance this year we have done some educational work with Wellsway School.

Please do hold the date in your diary if you can – as ever, the more the merrier!!

Email womble@transitionkeynsham.org if you would like to get involved in either of the events or simply find out more about the Keynsham Wombles.
